Bookie Reveals That The Game Between Delhi And Gujarat Was Fixed. BCCI Completely Denies Allegations

Remember the game on the 10’th of May between the Dehli Daredevils and Gujarat Lions at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur? The game where the ‘Young Boys From Delhi’ won a million hearts by chasing a mammoth 195. The game in which Shreyas Iyer reminded all of us why he is ‘Second Highest Paid Uncapped Player’ in the IPL 2017. If you still can’t remember ladies and gentlemen, we will do this one more time- The same game where Mishra Ji smashed Basil Thampi for 2 boundaries to finish the game just when we thought Gujarat had it in their bag after the all important in- form Iyer dismissal.

Now, what if someone comes up and tells you that the game in question might have been fixed? Yeah, you read that right all you Cric- Craking people or maybe not? Cric Crak hopes this is false news and it would be highly disappointing if the match in question ( Also the 50th Game Of The IPL 2017 ) was indeed fixed.

So this is how the story goes…

According to a report in Indiatimes ( right after the match concluded the police arrested 3 Bookies from the same hotel where both the Delhi and Gujarat teams were staying. The three of them were identified as Ramesh Nayan Shah, a businessman from Thane, Ramesh Kumar and Vikash Chauhan from Kanpur. What’s more surprising is that a whopping Rs 40 Lakh and 5 mobile phones were recovered when the police decided to track them down.

The three of them have been arrested and will be produced in court. In fact, one of them ( Ramesh Nayan Shah) while being interrogated by the cops went to spill the beans and revealed something which Cric Crak really hopes is a lie and will himself not believe it until it is proved. He went on to say that 2 players from the Gujarat Lions have been in constant touch with the bookies and were following their instructions. A dated WhatsApp message on his phone revealed that Gujarat Lions would lose the match despite scoring close to 200 runs and surprisingly that is what exactly happened! ( We still have not seen those WhatsApp screenshots though).

Apparently the BCCI anti- corruption unit had been keeping an eye on these 3 bookies and informed the police which eventually lead to their arrest.  The Indian board, however, has denied reports of the game being fixed but has admitted that there was definitely an attempt made to fix the High- Voltage Clash!

Cric Crak is just doing his duty of giving you the latest news related to cricket and will not believe the bookies claim until or unless it is proved! Maybe it is just an attempt by a few jealous people to tarnish the image of the IPL? That too is a possibility which cannot be ruled out.

What do you think about all this all you Cric Craking People? Do leave your comments below and let us know because that is what matters the most 🙂
