1. Announced His Arrival In Style

All the sweating was worth it, as Robin Uthappa announced himself on the international stage with a solid 86 run-knock against England in the year 2006. It was the highest score by an Indian debutant at that time until KL Rahul broke that record against Zimbabwe in 2016 scoring an exact 100 *.

2. Orange Cap

“Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo” is a part of his daily singing classes. Jokes apart, Robbie won the Orange Cap (Most runs in the tournament) in the IPL 7 season in the year 2014.  He amassed 660 runs, plundering the leather to his delight and helped his team to become champions for the second time in the history of the IPL.

3. Mr. Consistent In IPL

Certainly Mr. Consistent, Robin broke Matthew Hayden’s record for most consecutive 40+ scores in a single season by scoring 11 of them in the 2014 season.  Take A Bow Robbie! That was some serious consistency.

4.  Walking Assassin

Known as the “Walking Assassin”, when on a song, the explosive batsman can be seen walking down the wicket and whacking the ball past the bowlers head. Nobody plays this shot better than he does. Do you agree?  Umpires love it too or wait to do they? Lol!

Sports runs in his family, Robin’s father Venu was an international hockey referee and also served as the President of the Karnataka Hockey Association.
