Interestingly, very recently Sunil Gavaskar lashed out at the Indian Team because they did not give a chance to star batsman Ajinkya Rahane until the 5th One Day International. Gavaskar had quoted to Leading Daily, “It looks like all the nice guys are being left out and they should start getting a different hairstyle and some body art done to be picked in the team”. By doing so, it sure seemed like he took an indirect dig at KL Rahul on the company.
It seems that the right handed batsman on the other hand certainly did not pay attention to Gavaskar’s comments and went a step further by getting another tattoo done. This time it was the name of his best friend, his dog Simba, which he got inked on his back. Interestingly Simba is quite famous on social media because of KL Rahul and also has a separate Instagram account where he is followed by many.
KL, while getting inked also posted a picture on his official Twitter account with a caption which said, “Guess who’s got my back folks? My Lionking”, he concluded.

Cric Crak feels that getting inked or not getting inked should not matter as long as the batsman is doing the job required on the field of play. On another note, he thinks that it’s really nice of KL Rahul to get the name of his dog tattooed on his back and let’s leave it to that.
