Post the successful Anil Kumble era for the Indian team, Ravi Shastri has surely got off to a great start in his tenure as India’s head coach. India has continued their winning streak which they developed under Anil Kumble and have been knocking down every opposition in a similar fashion under Ravi Shastri as well
Since the Indian Premier League earlier this year, the men in blue have been playing their trade continuously ever since and to maintain such consistency is something we will like to take a bow to.
On the other hand, it can also take a toll on the human body and it feels like the Indian Team Coach and Cricketers have started to feel the heat a bit. Their head coach Shastri has made a special request to the Board requesting them to consider some rest time for the boys before announcing the schedule as he feels it can get quite hectic with the games, travel and media commitments.

As per Indian Express Ravi Shastri via a video conference told BCCI,” The International calendar is so tight these days and it’s not only the matches that take a toll on players but also the long flights and traveling”.
As per sources the Board Officials acknowledged this problem and quoted,” England and Australia have enough gaps between the series and the BCCI too should have a plan where the players get a decent break and recover better. Otherwise, everyone is happy with the way BCCI takes care of its players”, he concluded.
We feel both sides are absolutely right in their respective parts. Yes, the Indian team plays cricket throughout the calendar and a better schedule could be managed even without sacrificing the number of games we play. The Board too acknowledged the problem so, in the end, everyone might be happy.
On another note, we wish the Indian and Australian Cricket Team all the luck for the upcoming series ahead.
