Rohit was confused and rightly so as the cricketer’s hardly made double centuries in One Day Cricket,¬†well, Sharma already has 2. How can he degrade one? Having said that, he did reveal that why both were special ones in their own way.

As far as the 209 against Australia is concerned, Sharma loved the fact that it came in a high-pressure game against the mighty Australians and to top it off – It was a series decider where he was under a bit of pressure due to losing Dhawan and Kohli early.

On the other hand, Sharma further expressed that he was returning from injury while he scored the highest score in the world (264) against Sri Lanka and that also makes it equally special for him. Having said that, in a very interesting insight revealed by the man himself Rohit told Kapoor that the then- India Coach, Duncan Fletcher actually seemed disappointed by the fact that he could not get to 300 to which Rohit jokingly replied, ” Kya Duncan Bhai, is 264, not enough”?

The right-handed opening batsman from Mumbai revealed that the coach thought that Rohit was way too slow to get off the blocks and a quicker start by him could have certainly ensured a 300.
