There is some breaking news coming in for all cricket fans as the Indian opening batsman Murali Vijay is all set to make his presence felt by captaining his side after the regular skipper has been ruled out due to an injury. He is all geared up to captain the Kovai Kings in the ongoing edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2017.
Seeing Vijay back in action would surely be a huge relief to Team India who were without his services since the Australian Test series earlier this year where he had unfortunately encountered a wrist injury.
He was also initially a part of the squad which is currently touring Sri Lanka but Vijay being the honest person he is, openly admitted to the fact that he was not fit enough to represent his nation and still needed some time to recover. He will replace his team Kovai Kings regular captain ,J. Syed Mohammad who is ruled out due to a shoulder injury.
The Kovai Kings head coach Lance Klusener is totally thrilled by this news and thinks that Vijay’s experience will immensely benefit the entire team. Klusener quoted to TOI, ” I am sure Vijay is raring to go. His experience is surely there for the others to tap into. We all know the quality he offers . Certainly the team will benefit from his presence”.
Even their assistant coach R.Prasanna is really excited for the Indian opening batsman’s return and he quoted, “Vijay will be playing against the Mudarai. He joined the team on wednesday evening and he will be captaining the side”. Cric Crak is glad with this news coming in as this is a great chance for all the young kids of the country to rub shoulders with a Team India star which would massively boost their confidence.
