Star Player To Miss The 3rd India Vs Sri Lanka Test Match Due To Inury!

There is some serious breaking news coming in as a a very important player is going to miss the 3rd test match-

Could it get any worse from Sri Lanka? Well, Well, it actually has. After losing the first 2 tests badly on home soil to the men in blue Sri Lanka have will be without the services of their main strike bowler Rangana Herath .

There is no denying that this is a massive blow to Sri Lanka as Herath is their only bowler who it feels can pick up a wicket or two at any given point. Yes, he has been very expensive during the first 2 Tests but just when it seemed like he is finding his mojo back by picking up 4 wickets in the only innings he bowled he too has been ruled out due to a problem in his back.

Either the Sri Lankan team has been very unfortunate or their fitness levels have been very bleak as they have lost a string of players since the tour has commenced.

They were a man short since day 1 on the first test match when Asela Gunaratne injured himself and unfortunately for the Lankans post the match Suranga Lakmal was also ruled out due to injury. The pattern was again repeated during the second test as Nuwan Pradeep clutched his left hamstring on the first day of the 2nd test.

This is the biggest blow for Sri Lanka though as Rangana Hearath, their only hope of causing any trouble to the Indian Batsman will not be taking part in the 3’rd test match due to a back injury.

It will be interesting to see who Sri Lanka replace him with. They went in with only 1 fast bowler in the 2nd Test which unfortunately backfired as Pradeep  got injured on day 1 and now without a lot of star players missing it is not going to be easy for the captain Chandimal to figure out the right combination.

Cric Crak hopes all the injured players get well soon as it would only make the sport more competitive . Having said that, we strongly believe that at the moment Sri Lanka is not in India’s weight category and India would have dominated irrespective.
