In some breaking news coming in which might come as a delight for all Suresh Raina fans, the left-handed batsman from India has been selected for the upcoming T20 tournament. Yes, you read that right Ladies and Gentlemen as Raina has been included in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament where he would lead his side Uttar Pradesh.
Not only Raina, former discarded Indian International players Praveen Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav have also been included with Raina being the obvious choice for the captain and will rightly lead the side. The left-handed batsman from India also recently cleared the Yo-Yo test and would be looking forward to proving his mettle and make his way back to the Indian Team.
Having said that, there is a very slim chance that he makes to the One Day Team against the Proteas but a good tournament here could help him get noticed by the selectors for the Tri-Series in march against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The left-handed batsman last played an ODI for India in January 2015 and played a few T20s in between against England last year.
Having regained his fitness level and finally clearing the Yo-Yo test Raina would be raring to fire from all cylinders. If it indeed does go his way, the Indian Team could immensely benefit by a Raina in- form. Cric Crak wishes all the luck to him for the upcoming tournament and hopes to see him back in full flow at the earliest possible.
