The young run machine from Karnataka first bursted on the scene with his performances with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He did not have a mind boggling IPL in 2016 but his classical technique and strong mindset caught the eyes of the selectors. He then had an amazing time in The Rani Trophy and was soon called to play for India!
Rahul made his debut in the Boxing Day Test match played at The Melbourne Cricket Ground between India and Australia. Rahul’s stay at the crease on his debut was a short-lived one as he was dismissed by Nathan Lyon quite cheaply.
