Video: When Hardik Pandya Smashed 34 Runs In 1 Over In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
By now we all know about Hardik Pandya’s six hitting abilities. We have seen it in the IPL and we saw it again very recently in the Champions Trophy. If you have to put a face to a modern day sportsman, and if cricket is your sport it has been to Hardik Pandya. He is fit as a fiddle, runs in hard and bowls quick, and can absolutely smash it all over the park.
But how many of us actually know that in the summer of 2015 the all rounder from Baroda smashed medium pacer Akash Sudan for 34 runs in just one over! Yeah, you read that right. He almost got Yuvi there! This rare incident occurred during the 2015-16 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Domestic T20 tournament where he hit Delhi medium pacer Akash Sudan for 5 Daddy sixes and 1 boundary.
Before bowling to Pandya the bowler had conceded only 8 runs of 3 overs and also had grabbed 2 wickets in his kitty. Check out this Cric Craking video here :
Well, well, guess what happened in the end? Delhi won and Baroda lost. That certainly must have been heartbreaking for Pandya. Who would have thought that despite the Pandya onslaught his team would not be able to cross the finishing line in the end.
Pandya post the match quoted to Espncricinfo, “We were 60 for 6 after 12 overs then our score was 93 after 18 overs. I had to target Sudan. I was not expecting to get nearly 40 runs, my expectation was to get a couple of sixes. I just went with the flow”

Delhi’s coach Vijay Dahiya was in aww of Hardik Pandya’s blistering innings and so was Cric Crak.
We wish more power to Pandya and hopes that he becomes a major part of India’s road to the 2019 World Cup as a fast bowling all rounder is exactly what India needs!
