The Great Mahendra Singh Dhoni played in his second home ground Chennai after around 690 days today. With The Chennai Super Kings not a part of the Indian Premier League and India surprisingly not playing a single One Day In Chennai during that duration, the crowd surely missed their favorite boy. India was struggling at 64 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, and then in came Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
After a lot of silence, considering the home team wasn;t in a nice position, the crowd suddenly erupted. The chants of Dhoni, Dhoni were heard all across the stadium and the entire spectacle surely gave goosebumps to each and every cricket fan in the world.
What happened next? Well, Dhoni did what he often has been whenever the chips are down. He rescued India, and with the help of India’s new Rising Star Hardik Pandya guided India to a fighting total of 281 for the loss of only 7 wickets. Not to forget the contribution of the improved batsman in Bhunveshwar Kumar who scored a vital 32 runs off 30 balls.

Dhoni remained unbeaten at 79 while Hardik Pandya provided the important boost required in the middle overs. The all-rounder scored 86 of just a mere 66 balls before losing his wicket while trying to go for another big one.
Whatever happens in the end, one thing is for sure, that we have to give credit to India for a great recovery in the end. When the going gets tough, the tough get’s going and India did exactly that.
We wish more ‘Power’ to both the teams for the remainder of the series and hope to see quality cricket ahead.
