The India cap is the dream of everyone who picks up a ball or bat in the country. There are countless Indians who would give an arm and a leg for a place in the Indian team.

Yet only a privileged few get to realise their dream and there are some who get close to selection but fall just short. We list 3 Indian players who haven’t played for India in the recent past but are knocking the door;

1) Devdutt Padikal – The Karnataka youngster has taken the domestic season by storm. The best thing has been his performance in every format, bet it T20s, One-dayers or Ranji Trophy. A great IPL might be enough to get him into the squad.
