In a recent press conference after India’s latest outing against arch rivals Pakistan , the former Indian Captain Virat Kohli made a few interesting revelations which surely raised a few eye- brows .
Kohli recalled the toughest phase of his career and expressed that when he resigned from test captaincy he only received a call from Mahendra Singh Dhoni . The right handed batsmen from India further added that even though many in the cricketing circuit had his number, nobody really bothered to get in touch with him.
Meanwhile, Sunil Gavaskar in a recent interview to one of the leading you- tube channels expressed his disappointment towards Virat’s latest statement. The Mumbai Born former Indian Captain seemed to be confused by Virat’s statement and added that when he himself put in his papers in 1985, he and his team- mates hugged and celebrated that night and it ended right there. Sunny added- ” What else did Virat expect…..”
The first man to be named the little Master after Sir Sachin Tendulkar also believed that if Virat named that one person who gave him a call , he should have also named all those who he felt did not call him either! Well, well, it certainly seems like Mr Gavaskar was certainty in no mood to take this one sitting down and Kohli’s statement did not go down well with him.
