During these quarantine days, the cricketing activity is silent but that hasn’t stopped fans and experts from formulating their All time 11’s, current world 11’s and so on. Akash Chopra, a leading YouTuber and former Indian Test opener gave a new twist to this and chose a world 11 where only one player from each country could find a place.
The team was to be picked keeping the T20 format in mind and Chopra went for Jos Buttler and David Warner as his choice of openers. This ruled out English and Aussie players like Ben Stokes and Mitchell Starc. The middle order was made up of Colin Munro, Babar Azam and AB De Villiers. While ABD and Babar were obvious picks, Akash Chopra chose Colin Munro over the likes of Ross Taylor and Trent Boult.
The former opener went for Shakib and Andre Russell as his all rounders. Since Russell was picked, Sunil Narine was ruled and Rashid Khan, Sandeep Lamichhane firmed the spin department. The two seamer spots were reserved for Bumrah and Malinga. The inclusion of Bumrah meant that Virat and Rohit were snubbed.
