Owing to the fact that Alzarri Joseph landed badly on his shoulder while fielding, there is a serious possibility that he might be rested for today’s game considering it’s a long tournament.
While he still hasn’t been declared fit but even if he does, there is a possibility of the veteran Lasith Malinga replacing him int he playing XI against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and his men would be feeling pretty confident against Virat Kohli and his men considering they have won 6 out of their 7 encounters against RCB since 2016.
Having said that, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers would have to believe in magic if they need to turnaround their campaign in the ongoing IPL 2019. The Mumbai Indians will not be an easy one to tick- off the box but if they do, this could exactly be the brand of fuel they are looking for to ignite the fire.
Probable XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Rahul Chahar, Jason Behrendoff, Lasith Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians are likely to go with the rest of the side unchanged batting swapping Malinga instead of Joseph.
