In some breaking news coming in Mastercard will now be the new Title Sponsor for all BCCI Domestic and Home Matches. These games will include all domestic men and women matches such ass the Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy and also junior level Under 19, ,Under- 16 Cricket.
This will be a win- win for both parties as Mastercard already has affiliations with leagues like the UEFA Champions League, The French Open, the Grammy Awards and many more. Welcoming the move the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly mentioned that Domestic Cricket is the stepping foundation to become a world class International side while Dada thanked Mastercard for extending their gratitude towards the BCCI.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni who has been BCCI’s brand ambassador for over 4 years seemed to be on cloud 9 after this deal. Dhoni recalled that cricket hass given him everything in life and was glad that the future of the young cricketers is in safe hands with good revenue coming in via Mastercard for the development of the game. Dhoni further added that- ” The Ranji and junior players of today will play for the country tomorrow and continue to embody the pride of 1.3 billion Indians”.
Meanwhile, there is absolutely no doubt that a good domestic structure could do wonders to the future of any sport in any country and the BCCI is glad that the sponsorship money is all set to benefit all the budding cricketers of our country.
