Ben Stokes and Virat Kohli are two of the most impactful and charismatic cricketers in the game. Both of them are each other’s alter ego and if one is the best all-rounder currently, the other is the best batsman. They are the sort of characters that our great game revolves around and the sort of rivalry that gets bums on seats.
The two have also had their fair share of altercations on the field and in fact on England’s last tour of India, they made the ‘finger on your lips’ celebration quite the trend. Stokes recently came out with his autobiography called ‘Ben Stokes on fire’ and slammed Kohli for complaining about the short boundaries after the India-England encounter in the 2019 World Cup.
“It was weird to hear India captain Kohli whingeing about the size of the boundaries at the post-match presentation ceremony. I have never heard such a bizarre complaint after a match. It’s actually the worst complaint you could ever make,” Ben Stokes wrote in his book.
