Can MS Dhoni Play The WT20 In Australia?

Well, that’s a million-dollar question, isn’t it? Ever since everyone has been talking about MSD and Ravi Shastri’s latest statement has only made things more easier or maybe even more complicated, to be honest?

Has MSD Called it quits as far as his ODI career is concerned? If yes, why did the coach speak up and not the player instead? Why did he not retire immediately after the WC 2019? In fact, why hasn’t he still retired? While Dhoni is not playing T20 cricket for India either is he really in the scheme of things leading up to the ICC W20 In Australia?

Well, if he is, the writing seems to be on the wall now. If Dhoni does better than the likes of Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson in the IPL 2020, he still might be on the plane to Australia. Having said that, that would mean the last time he would have played for India was in the semi-final against NZ in the WC 2019. Agreed Dhoni has the experience and doesn’t really need to test himself at the International Level but isn’t all this getting way to complicated?

Like why not give him another chance now or is he not willing to accept it that he has a ‘Heart So Big’ that he wants to make sure that Pant and Samson are given their due share ( Which might be a possibility). Having said that, it’s only fair that a player of his stature has been given a shot as a ‘Wild Card Entry’ and it would be interesting to see how that shapes up.
