CSK roast the RCB for winning the ‘IPL’ finally

In the months of April and May it’s generally the IPL fever that grips the entire nation and captures the narrative on social media, newsrooms, newspapers and drawing room discussions. However, this time the Coronavirus has gripped the nation in these two months and there is no light at the end of the tunnel yet. This also forced the IPL to be indefinitely postponed and there is no guarantees that it will happen this year.

However, the RCB introduced their very own ‘IPL’ this year called the Indian Poll league. This was a 55 day league based on voting from the fans in each encounter. So basically, like the IPL, every day there will be two franchises clashing and the amounts of votes they get, will decide who gets the points for that game. RCB is a very popular franchise and therefore they cruised to the finals.

They met Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final and managed to beat them via the number of votes collected. This is how they won their first ‘IPL’ and they thanked the fans for making them victorious. The CSK couldn’t resist this and they decided to roast the Bangalore based franchise and put up a post saying ‘E saala cup Umadey’ which translates to ‘this year the cup is yours’. This was also a dig on the RCB slogan ‘E saala Cup Namde’ meaning this year the cup is ours.
