“Everyone backed Virat Kohli- we always gave him breaks to rejuvenate”- BCCI Official

In some breaking news coming in from the Indian Cricket Team Camp, a BCCI official has reacted to a recent statement made by the former Indian Captain Virat Kohli that no one other than Mahendra Singh Dhoni called him when he stepped down as the red- ball captain of the Indian Cricket Team last year.

The Delhi born right handed batsmen during a post match press conference after the Indian vs Pakistan game expressed that while many people in the cricketing circuit have his number and also give him suggestions on TV, nobody other than his old friend MSD bothered to give him a phone call.

However as per recent reports a BCCI official certainly did not take this one sitting down and expressed disappointed over Kohli’s recent statement. According to Inside Sport, the BCCI official was surprised by Kohli’s claims and reinstated the fact that the BCCI has always backed him.

The official seemed to absolutely disagree with Virat’s statement and also reminded everyone that the apex cricketing Board always seemed to be in coordination with the former Captain and also gave him breaks to rejuvenate whenever he felt like. The BCCI official who did not wish to be named seemed to be absolutely shell shocked by Virat’s recent statement.
