The Covid-19 has given everyone plenty of time to reflect on the past and plan for the future, since there is very little that’s happening in the present. Sport lovers around the world have never gone for such a long period without consuming live sport, which over the years has become such an integral part of their daily lives and conversations. Cricket is no exception to the rule and it’s still not clear when normalcy will be restored.
This has given cricket pundits and fans also an opportunity to reflect on the past (All time 11’s, Top 5 batsman of all time etc) and plan for the future (Predicting the World Test 11 in 2025). In keeping with that sentiment, Australian channel Fox cricket have also come up with what they think will be the World Test 11 in the year 2025.
The most surprising was the omission of Virat Kohli, who seems fit as a fiddle and 2025 looks well within his grasp. Nevertheless, each to their own, they did fill the team with 3 Indians. Both openers would be Indian, in the form of Prithvi Shaw and Shubham Gill, followed by a power packed middle order of Steve Smith, Babar Azam and Marnus Labuschagne. Followed by star all-rounder Stokes and Quinton De Kock as the wicketkeeper. The three predicted fast bowlers will be Bumrah, Rabada and Cummins, followed by Rashid Khan as the spinner.
