Gautam Gambhir names his favourite IPL Captain ever!

The former Kolkata Knight Riders Captain has recently been in the news for all the right reasons looking at the number of donations he has done towards the COVID-19 pandemic with no selfish motives while trying to lead from the front just like the 2011 WC Final.

Yes, Shahid Afridi’s latest comments got out his aggressive side for a bit but all in all the southpaw is absolutely determined to help his country get back on track and is doing whatever it takes on his part. Meanwhile, in a recent show on Star Sports Gambhir was asked to name his best IPL captain ever and the southpaw did not hesitate a bit before taking the name of the Mumbai Indian’s Captain Rohit Sharma.

The cricketer-turned-politician believed that when it comes to captaincy, the more the titles, the stronger the CV and Rohit Sharma has already won the title 4 times under his belt. The Delhi born left-handed batsman went a step ahead and further added, ” “He will end up being the most successful IPL captain of all time as well. He has 4 already, he may finish at 6-7 maybe under his belt,” said Gambhir.

Interestingly, Rohit Sharma is also the fourth-highest run-getter in the history of the cash-rich league with 4898 runs already in his kitty. Cric Crak would love to know if you agree with Gautam Gambhir on this one? Meanwhile, all is still not lost as far as the IPL is concerned but the world needs to be normal before that. Even if they host the IPL in Sri Lanka which might be COVID-free at the earliest as far as cricketing venues are concerned, the transposition of the players might be a massive problem at the moment and we could only hope and pray that things soon start to improve while the COVID curve keeps flattening.
