Sachin Tendulkar has for more than 3 decades been a fan favourite. His popularity hasn’t dipped one bit even after 7 years of his retirement. However the master’s popularity is not restricted to his fans as his opponents and teammates respect him to the hilt.
That was on full display during the 2015 World Cup final held at the legendary MCG. The match was a one-sided affair with the hosts thrashing their trans Tasman rivals. Australia had lifted their 5th title and Sachin Tendulkar who was the brand ambassador of the tournament, was in attendance.
One of the stars of the tournament, Glenn Maxwell was giving an interview to one of the broadcasters and mid-interview he spotted the master. Maxwell who previously had been part of the Mumbai Indians didn’t hesitate in leaving the interview mid-way to greet the Mumbaikar.
