In some latest cricket news coming in the star English batsman Jason Roy, who was all set to represent the Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL 2020 has been ruled out owing to a side strain.

This will certainly be a huge blow to Ricky Ponting and company as Roy is certainly one of the most explosive openers in the current T20 circuit and his presence will certainly be missed by the franchise. Daniel Sams, the left arm fast bowler from Australia has been announced as his replacement and will directly fly to the UAE post the T20 series against England.

Sams, the 27-year-old left-armer who plays for the Sydney Thunder and New South Wales had an outstanding BBL season last year as he claimed 30 wickets for the Thunder. The young man would be certainly looking to make the most of the opportunity with the Capitals. It’s interesting to see though that the Capitals went for an all-rounder and not with a pure batsman to replace Jason Roy and we shall leave you with that thought.
