Look Who Ravi Shastri Thinks Helped Pant Score Runs In Australia And It’s Not Kohli

While everyone has been talking about MS Dhoni ever since he helped India win the recently concluded ODI series against Australia, the latest to join the band-wagon was the Indian Head Coach, Ravi Shastri.

Shastri in a recent press conference stated that he was glad about the fact that Dhoni found form just at the right time leading up to the ICC World Cup 2019. He also let everyone know that someone like a Dhoni is completely irreplaceable in the team and the one who understands this the most is the man who is tipped to succeed him in the near future, Rishabh Pant.

Shastri added that during India’s test series against Australia, Pant would literally call Dhoni every day and speak to him about how he could improve his game and apply his trade in the most effective way. He even said, ” More than anyone in the team Rishabh Pant spoke to Dhoni and that was very heartening to see”.

Meanwhile, the left-handed Pant is still not an ODI regular but the doors for the World Cup are still not closed for the young man according to the chief selector of the Indian Cricket Team Rishabh Pant. Meanwhile, India and New Zealand are all set to take on each other in the upcoming ODI and T20 series and the fans from both sides certainly can’t keep calm.

The World Cup is just around the corner and everyone is excited to see how all the teams are shaping up before the mega tournament. While India will be hoping to maintain their winning run, it would be nice if their number 4 problem which seemed to have a solution a while ago gets solved soon. Maybe even Mahendra Singh Dhoni considering how he batted at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and we will leave it to that.
