Suresh Raina is one of the best middle order white ball batsman that India has produced and in fact he along with Yuvraj and Dhoni formed a core in the middle order that won India many a matches. However, since the last couple of years, Raina has lost his place in the international team and made a brief comeback in 2018 but was dropped soon after.
Suresh Raina had recently made an accusation at the former chief selector MSK Prasad led selection panel of not taking enough responsibility and not giving enough respect to the seniors in the team. MSK Prasad chose to respond to the southpaws allegations to Hindustan Times.
The former chief selector said that Suresh Raina didn’t display enough form in domestic cricket to return back to the Indian team. He had an average domestic season in 2018-19 and fell short of what was needed to break the door.
“I had personally spoken to Raina calling him to my room and explained him the roadmap for his future comebacks. He had, back then, appreciated my efforts. I am really surprised when I have heard things which are exactly contrary to what had happened,” Prasad was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
