Prime Minster Narendra Modi thanks Suresh Raina for donation to the Covid-19 relief fund.


Prime Minster Narendra Modi has been at the forefront when it comes to creating awareness about the highly mutant Coronavirus. On multiple occasions, he has directly addressed the nation and requesting them to follow social distancing and even imposed a 3-week countrywide lockdown.

There has been a relief fund set up by the union government where the public can also donate money as the nation fights Covid-19. The fund called PM Cares has seen many cricketers pledging funds already. Sachin Tendulkar earlier made a donation of 25 lakh to the union fund and the same amount to the state fund set up by the Maharashtra government.

The latest addition to the list of donators is Suresh Raina who pledged 31 lakh and 21 lakh to PM Cares and the Uttar Pradesh relief fund respectively. The news didn’t miss the attention of the Prime Minister who hailed the southpaws move in his own inimitable style via a tweet. Here’s hoping that the entire world is out of this mess and normalcy is restored soon.
