Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is someone who inspired many Indians to take up the beautiful game of cricket. It is safe to say that the former right-handed batsman from India was certainly the best in his era.
As far as the modern era is concerned, Virat Kohli is someone who has made the ‘Numero Uno’ position completely his own. Having said that, we don’t like to compare era’s as it’s not the right indicator to pass a judgment and we will leave it to that. Meanwhile, the Virat Kohli led Indian Cricket Team recently created history by defeating the Australian Cricket Team in their own backyard for the first time ever.
While everyone on the Internet has been talking about it ever since the latest to join the band-wagon was the Master-Blaster himself. Sachin Tendulkar via the micro-blogging site Twitter expressed how glad he was owing to India’s recent win. While doing so he also lavished special praise on the newbies in Test Cricket- Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav. He also termed them as the players to watch out for.
It was certainly a huge victory for India and their captain summed it up beautifully or maybe just spoilt the fun a bit? Well, Virat quoted that this victory was more emotional for him than even the ICC 2011 World Cup as he was young at that time and never had a feeling of not winning a World Cup.
While Virat’s statement is understandable considering he was just a soldier in the Indian Sena which consisted of players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan, Ravi Shastri too had a point which did not go down too well with many.
While it’s normal to have an opinion, Shastri being a part of the formal media team himself maybe got it wrong this time or maybe he didn’t? He termed this victory ‘Bigger’ than even the ICC 1983 World Cup. Meanwhile, here is Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet for both Kuldeep Yadav and Rishabh Pant.
Has been a wonderful series where the younger and senior players shared responsibilities to achieve something special. @Rishabpant777, who has gone from strength to strength and @imkuldeep18 are definitely ones to watch out for. #INDvAUS pic.twitter.com/enLE3kxHDV
