Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has just turned 47 recently and while he himself didn’t celebrate as a gesture of respect towards frontline Covid-19 warriors, slew of his social media followers and cricket colleagues kept the wishes pouring in. In a recent chat, Sachin revealed his top 5 all rounders of all time.

He started off with World Cup winning Indian captain Kapil Dev, who is also shared the dressing room with in the first few years of his career. Second on the list was Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, the captain of Pakistan on master’s debut tour. The next two names, Sir Richard Hadlee and Sir Ian Botham were also on expected lines. The fifth name on the list was West Indian great Malcom Marshall who was more of a bowling all rounder.
It is interesting that all these players were from a similar era and probably were at the fag end of their careers when the Mumbaikar started off. What is also pretty evident is that Tendulkar didn’t pick any name from his era by and far.
