With cricket not taking place at present and the future also looking rather uncertain, there is only one choice that everybody has. That is reminiscing the glorious past to satisfy our dose of cricket. And picking up all time playing 11’s is one of the most ideal ways to do that. In fact, that has become a viral trend in recent times. With players, past and present picking the best players of all time.
Joining this trend is tainted Kerala fast bowler, S Sreesanth who was also part of the Word Cup winning Indian squad in 2011. He recently came up with his version of an all time ODI 11. Interestingly, Sreesanth didn’t pick 3 time ODI double centurion, Rohit Sharma in his team. He also chose Ganguly as the captain, even though MS Dhoni was in the playing 11. He went for 5 Indians in his team but no bowler and chose himself as the 12th man.
To open the innings the right arm pacer went for the most successful pair of all time in Tendulkar and Ganguly. He had Brian Lara come in at number 3, followed by Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers and Yuvraj Singh. He assigned MS Dhoni the keeping and finishing duty. He had Kallis come in at 6 down which was a bit of a surprise and chose Shane Warne as the spinner. His two specialist fast bowlers included Allan Donald and Glenn McGrath.
Sreesanth’s all time ODI team – Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Brian Lara, Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni (wk), Jacques Kallis, Shane Warne, Allan Donald, Glenn McGrath, Sreesanth (12th man).
