Suresh Raina has been of India’s best when it comes to middle order batsman in white ball cricket. In fact, Yuvraj, Dhoni and Raina made up a formidable middle order that won India a plethora of games. Raina has also been the biggest star in terms of IPL cricket and was also the first Indian to score a century in all 3 formats.
However, ever since the MSK Prasad led selection committee came to the helm, Suresh Raina has been out of favour and the Indian team. He did make a brief comeback to the team on the 2018 England tour but a couple of lacklustre performances led to him losing his place immediately.
Recently, he has said that the selectors should be more responsible when it comes to senior players. That statement wasn’t taken too well be MSK Prasad who put the ball in the southpaw’s court saying that his domestic performances were nothing great and there was adequate communication with him. Refuting those claims the UP player has hit back at Prasad and said “MSK Prasad said that I under-performed and also stated that he spoke to me about my axing, but he didn’t speak to me at all. When my time comes, I will play.”
