T20 leagues will be prioritised over International cricket in the post Coronavirus world : Harsha Bhogle


Harsha Bhogle is often termed as the ‘voice of Indian Cricket’ and even though there are a few jibes here and there, that the man hasn’t played top class cricket, his opinion is heard by many with a keen ear.

Recently, like many other celebrities these day, he decided to do an Instagram live and answered various questions related to the game. The man who hails from India’s leading management institute, IIM Ahmedabad, naturally knows a thing or two about the economics of the game.

Therefore, when one fan asked him about the scenario of cricket in terms of economics post Covid-19, the man from Hyderabad said that boards who have incurred steep losses because of the pandemic will look to make it up by concentrating more on cash cow T20 leagues than International cricket. He also went on to say that he won’t be surprised if the October-November window is used for the IPL instead of the World T20.
