In ODI cricket, Ponting has hit 6 centuries against India and has managed to score 2164 runs in 59 ODIs at a fine average of 40.47. Steve Smith is probably Australia’s best batsman in the current times. Smith started his career as a right-arm leg-spinner, he then slowly shifted his focus on batting and now is Australia’s main man across all three formats. He, too, performs well against most of the oppositions but gets in to his own zone while facing India. He just has a knack of scoring centuries in every series that he plays against India and his jaw-dropping records speak volumes about his achievements. In only 10 Tests that he has played against India, he has registered seven centuries to his name and has scored 1429 runs. In ODI cricket, he has five centuries in his bag and 1123 runs in just 24 ODIs at an amazing average of 62.38 runs. He just has this ability to step up against India and recently scored 2; 62 balls centuries each which were the third-fastest in the history of ODI cricket for Australia.

Arguably the best batsmen in the world and the greatest to come out of the Caribbean, Sir Vivian Richards shattered and instilled scare in the minds of the bowlers from all around the world. He used to be at his absolute best against India and always took the Indian bowlers to the cleaners, smashing them all around the park. In Test matches, he has 8 hundred’s against India and has scored 1927 runs in just 28 Tests at an amazing average of 50.71. In ODIs, he has three centuries against India and has scored 997 runs in just 31 ODIs at a great average of 47.47.

Kumar Sangakkara was one of the all-time greats of Sri Lankan cricket and probably their best ever wicket-keeper-batsman. He was always at his best against India and took a special liking to the Indian bowlers. He always saved his best against neighbors and was one of the main reasons why Sri Lanka dominated against India in the early 2000s. In just 17 Test matches against India, he has scored a brilliant 1352 runs and a total of 5 centuries. He has 6 centuries to his name against India in ODIs and has scored 2700 runs at an average of 39.70.
