Arshdeep has been on the wrong side of Twitter trolls ever since last evening inspite of returning wiht figures of 27-1 and giving everything he had to defend 7 runs of the last over.

When asked during a post match press conference about his thoughts regarding the Arshdeep drop the former Indian Captain took no time to defend the youngster and look at the practical side of the situation. Virat Kohli quoted- “Arshdeep Singh bowled well. Anyone can make the mistake. It was a high pressure game and mistakes can happen”.

He also recalled the 2019 Champions Trophy match against arch rivals Pakistan which India lost. He further added that he played a very poor shot in that game and was so gutted with himself that he was watch the ceiling till 5 AM. Kohli reinstated the fact that these things keep happening in cricket and it’s important to move on to the next game as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Team will take on Sri Lanka in an almost must- win encounter in Dubai on Tuesday. It would be interesting to see if they make any changes to the playing XI and maybe play an extra bowler considering their bowlers did not have a good outing against Pakistan.
