It was a great start for India as England were under some serious pressure at lunch reeling at 57-4. Jasprit Bumrah provided India with a dream start by bowling a beauty to Jennings and then almost followed it up by Joe Root’s wicket. Only if the youngster did not overstep yet again like he so often does.
Having said that, we are in no mood to troll the youngster as he was also the same person who created an opportunity for himself in the first place. On the other hand, Bumrah would be the first one to admit that he needs to keep it behind the line as such things could cost a fortune. Luckily, it did not even cost a dime it felt as Ishant Sharma swung it big just when Root could add 2 more runs to his tally and had him trapped in front of the stumps.
The lanky fast bowler then struck one more time before lunch as he removed the in-form Jonny Bairstow who England decided to play as a specialist batsman this time around. With Hardik Pandya accounting for the highest run scorer of the session, Alistar Cook (17 Runs) the Poms were reeling at 57-4 at the stroke of lunch.
