Watch: Kuldeep Yadav Becomes The First Indian Bowler To Take 2 Hat-Tricks In International Cricket.
Chinaman bowler Kuldeep created history in the ongoing One Day International between India and West Indies being played at Vishakapatnam. It all happened in the 33rd over of the West Indian innings after they were set a mammoth target of 388 courtesy a Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul special. West Indies were four down for 210 and in a precarious situation but whatever hopes of winning they harbored were quashed courtesy a superlative performance by Kuldeep Yadav.
The U.P. based cricketer was in his 8th over and struck first on his fourth delivery, getting a well-set Shai Hope. Yadav tossed it up and the right-handed Hope went for the slog sweep which was smartly collected by captain Kohli right on the edge of the boundary. The batsman crossed which meant Jason Holder faced the fifth delivery of the over which turned out to be his final ball of the evening. The right-hander was bamboozled by Kuldeep’s turn and was beaten all ends up. Holder dragged his back foot out of the crease and quick work from wicketkeeper Rishab Pant ended in the ex-captain’s stumping. This brought Alzarri Joseph to the crease and completely misread his first delivery. All he could manage was an outside edge to second slip which was safely pocketed by Kedar Jadhav.
This completed Kuldeep’s hattrick thus making him the first Indian to take 2 International hattricks in International Cricket.
