While currently the Covid-19 has captured everyone’s imagination in the country and gripped everyone with fear, its generally the IPL that does that at this time. However, due to the highly mutant Coronavirus the IPL doesn’t look like taking place in the foreseeable future. The BCCI has already revealed that a loss to the tune of 4000cr will be incurred should the IPL not happen at all this year.
The other reason why Indians fans are desperate for the cash rich league to take place this year is to finally see the return of their beloved player Mahendra Singh Dhoni. MSD has been out of action since the heartbreaking loss to New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semifinal and his admirers can’t wait to catch a glimpse of him on field.
This was pretty evident in the couple of practice sessions that the CSK had in Chepauk as they were met with a full stadium and the reason behind that was only one man. During one of the practice matches, it was heartening to see that Dhoni looked in good touch and he even slammed two huge sixes.
