During the second ODI of ongoing India vs West Indies series in Vishakapatnam, India player Shreyas produced a potential match-winning moment. With West Indies chasing a mammoth target of 388 after a class display by the Indian batting all their hopes rested on last match hero Shimron Hetmyer. Hetmyer was new to the crease but his innings was cut short by a piece of magic in the field by Shreyas Iyer.
The event took place on the first delivery of the 14th over of the innings being delivered by Ravindra Jadeja. It was a short delivery that was cut away by Hetmyer and seemed to be speedily heading towards the boundary until a whole-hearted dive by Shreyas Iyer stopped it from being four runs. The Delhi Capitals skippers’ across the boundary rope due to the momentum, before gathering himself and the ball. Whilst, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer were going for the third run Shreyas Iyer produced a pin-point throw straight to Jadeja at the non-striking end which eventually led to run-out.

Shreyas Iyer who earlier had a great time with the bat, scoring a quickfire 53 off just 32 deliveries and in the process became the first Indian batsman to score 30+ runs in an over in ODIs.
