When Andre Russell was triggered by Virat Kohli into playing one of the great IPL innings

Andre Russell has been a stalwart of the IPL and the global T20 scene in general. He has proved to be the MVP of the cash rich league in the last couple of editions and there are times when one is in disbelief as to how it’s possible for someone to just go hammer and tongs and pull it off, ball after ball.

When the West Indian hits beast mode, there is not even Gayle who can strike the ball with as much power or consistency. Recently in a media interaction Russell opened up about his great knock in the 2019 IPL against RCB. The southern franchise posted a mammoth total of 205 and KKR were in a spot of bother when the big man walked in, needing 67 off just 26 balls.

Soon Dinesh Karthik got out and Virat Kohli as is his usual style, pumped fist and roared towards the KKR dressing room and fans (including WAGS). This made Russell extra pissed and from then on he asked Shubnam Gill to give him the strike and achieved an unbelievable win for his team.
