India-Pakistan bilateral cricket has been off now for almost a decade and it doesn’t look likely to resume anytime in the near future. However, in the past, some of the most dramatic and high-octane cricketing moments have been witnessed in the clash of the sub-continental arch rivals.
While the on-field action is full of pressure and there have been plenty of heated moments between both the cricket crazy countries, players have shared warm relations off the field. Javed Miandad recently recalled one of those moments of camaraderie and mate-ship when the Pakistani team had come to tour India and both teams were in Bangalore. The talisman Pakistani recalled that it was holi time and both the teams were confined to their hotels.
Players from either team put colour onto each other and didn’t even spare Imran Khan. It was in good fun and the cricketers had a gala time. Later, the fun escalated and the cricketers started throwing each other in the swimming pool. The ever-cheeky Miandad pushed the current Indian coach, Ravi Shastri in the pool, much to the delight of everyone present.
