Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been utilising their quarantine time by spreading awareness amongst their fans, talking to colleagues and now interacting with children about the virtues of being patient and confident. Captain Kohli opened up about the time when he was not selected to play for his state side.
The Delhi lad stated “The first time I was rejected in the state selections, I remember it was late at night and I just cried.” He added “I howled till about three in the morning and I could not believe it. Because I scored well, everything was going perfectly for me. I performed till I reached that stage and I was rejected.”

The RCB skipper elaborated on how he kept asking his coach Rajkumar Sharma the reason for his non-selection. “I kept asking my coach for two hours why it didn’t happen? And I couldn’t make sense of it. But when there is passion and commitment, that motivation comes back to you.” Virat went on to make his first class debut in 2006 and the rest as they say, is history.
