Will Rain Play Spoilt Sport During The First ODI At Dharamshala?

While somehow managing to work their way around the Coronavirus scare, another problem now for the HPCA officials will be to keep the ‘Rain Gods’ away, come Thursday- when it matters the most!

Interestingly, the officials at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association have decided to offer prayers at the Indru Nag Temple which is considered sacred and the officials also have a belief that if they truly offer their prayers for the rain to stay away, then Jonny will indeed be able to play!

Unfortunately, even the last International assignment on this ground was supposed to be an India vs South Africa (T20) encounter which got washed out due to rain. Even more interestingly, while this ground was supposed to host its first International match ( India vs England 2013) the conditions were pretty overcast on the eve of the game and that’s when the officials decided to pray at the sacred Indru Nag temple. Guess what? There were so signs of the rain anymore!

As far as the Dhamarshala ODI between India & SA is concerned, it’s expected to be overcast all-day with chances of a few thunderstorms. Well, In the end, all even we can do as well is pray I guess- as practical as we might be, because this isn’t in our hands either.

In the end, lets all hope for a cric craking encounter between India & South Africa and the fact that everyone stays safe & secure in relation to the CoronoaVirus scare.
