As cricket fans, we love comparisons, and who better to compare than MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. The former is one of most successful Indian captains and the latter one is the current Indian skipper and probably the best batsman in the world now. Whole of the cricket fraternity is somehow seen comparing or differentiation the two and their ways of captaincy.
But, one has to understand that both of them have very different mindsets and perceptions of captaincy. Dhoni likes to keep it cool and calm and no matter how much tense the situation may be, no one can figure out any tension from his face or body language. While Kohli, on the other hand, is known for his aggressive mindset and likes to express himself in the field.
In a recent interview, when Yuvraj Singh was asked about the two captains, this was his answer :
“Obviously, he’s very different from MSD, who is calm and composed. Virat is a bit aggressive. The results have shown that he is doing very well as captain. It’s a different generation too. MSD had very experienced players, match-winners. It was a very set team when he got the captaincy. The team has transformed under Virat,” Yuvraj told Sportstarlive.
