Yuvraj Singh was in prime form under MS Dhoni’s leadership

It has recently come to light that two of India’s greatest white ball cricketers have shared a frosty relationship while playing for India. Yuvraj Singh has publicly gone on to say that he was at his happiest under Sourav Ganguly’s leadership and that MS Dhoni didn’t back him to the hilt.

This did raise a fair few eyebrows because if one looks back at Yuvi’s career, some of his most stellar knocks have come under MS Dhoni’s leadership. Be it the 6 sixes of Broad or a breathtaking 70 in the semi-finals of the 2007 World T20 or even a man of the series performance in the victorious 2011 World Cup campaign.

His good friend Ashish Nehra has contradicted the Punjab lad and said that Yuvraj was in prime form under Dhoni’s captaincy and it was during that time that the southpaw played some of the most important innings. It will be interesting to see Yuvraj’s take on this statement by Nehra.
