Yuzvendra Chahal Reveals His Cricketing Idol

In some interesting trivia for all of you, the only person to have played both cricket and chess for the same country, Yuzvendra Chahal made quite an interesting revelation when asked who his favorite all time cricketer is, the leg spinner took no time to answer that one. Not only did he admit that Warne has been his inspiration since his childhood days, he further went on to add that he truly believes that the Australian legend, is blessing him from the heavens up above. Chahal was at his emotional self and really seemed to be missing his idol, Shane Warne.

The entire cricketing fraternity mourned over the death of Warne, who was just 52 years old. Unfortunately, he passed away of a heart attack, while holidaying with a few family friends in an island in Thailand called Koh Sa Mui.

Meanwhile, Yuzi also applies his trade for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, the same franchise Shane Warne once captained and led to victory in the inaugural edition of the IPL back in 2008.

The Jind born leggie also keeps himself quite busy on Instagram, with his wife Dhanshree who is also quite a popular social media influencer and a dance choreographer, he often uploads funny reels & wins a lot of hearts, not only on the field but also off it.

At the time I write this piece, the leg spinner has played 64 ODI’s, 62 T20’s and 131 IPL Matches and has 111, 79 & 166 wickets to his name, respectively across all formats.

Well, let’s hope Yuzvendra Chahal can go ahead and emulate the success of his idol Shane Warne in years to come. Even if he achieves 50% of his success, he will go down in the history books of cricket.
